Non-Executive Directors wanted for The Link (Redcar) Community Interest
Company based in Redcar and Cleveland
The Link is a Redcar based professional mental health and emotional wellbeing provider
based in the North East of England, we are passionate about supporting children, young
people and families locally. Our services include a wide range of workshops and training,
therapeutic assessments, one to one therapeutic interventions including specialist
therapies with a focus on Trauma and Attachment and Children and Young People,
Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP IAPT) evidence-based therapies.
The Link is going through a period of development and as part of this, we are seeking to
strengthen our Board by recruiting two additional Non-Executive Directors. You will work
closely with the other Board members to set the strategic context within which high
quality, evidence based therapeutic services are provided to children and young people
We are looking for people who can play a key role in corporate leadership, governance
and financial stewardship and can contribute effectively to the strategic development and
planning of the wider Link CIC system. Our strong culture, ethos and values have helped
us develop a strong reputation for delivering safe, efficient and effective services which
service users would choose and recommend.
We are a not for profit, values driven organisation providing NHS and Local Authority
funded community based health and social care to a standard we would expect for
ourselves and those we care about. We have a commitment to add value to the local
community and as a Social Enterprise we exist purely for this purpose.
Do you have senior leadership experience and the credibility to forge strategic alliances
and build effective relationships at all levels internally and beyond the organisation? We
are particularly keen to hear from individuals with financial and/or strong commercial or
strategic backgrounds in children’s services or similar.
We believe it is important for all our Board and senior managers to be visible and
encourage our Non-Executives to visit our services, to meet staff and the people we care
for. You would also be required to attend regular Board meetings (currently bi-monthly
but may change to quarterly once the Board is fully established). Out of pocket expenses
will be paid to the successful candidates (where appropriate).
