How we work
Welcome to The Link a North East based professional mental health and emotional wellbeing provider. We provide therapeutic services to children, young people and families across the North East including Teesside and the boroughs of Redcar and Cleveland, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and Darlington. Our services include a wide range of emotional resilience workshops and training, therapeutic assessments, one to one therapeutic intervention, including specialist therapies.
Our specialist services are delivered by multi-disciplined team who can offer support in complex cases such as trauma and attachment, non verbal therapies including Art Psychotherapy and Theraplay. Our portfolio also includes Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy (CBP), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) and Child Psychotherapy.
We are registered providers with local authorities for post adoption and looked after children services and also preferred providers for Redcar & Cleveland and North Yorkshire.
We work within schools across the region and accept referrals from GP's, schols, CAMHS, social care, parents, carers and other community organisations.
We work with a holistic solution focused approach to ensure that the needs of the child or young person are met and also offer parent support.
The Link is a Community Interest Company or a CIC for short, which means we are motivated by making a positive change rather than making money. We believe that nobody should have to face emotional distress alone, so we provide a variety of therapeutic services, activities, training and events to support children, young people and families who are facing challenges in relation to mental health.
