How we work
The Link is a professional mental health and emotional wellbeing provider. We provide therapeutic services to children, young people and families across the North East including Redcar & Cleveland, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Stockton on Tees and Darlington. Our services include a wide range of workshops and training, therapeutic assessments, one to one therapeutic interventions including specialist therapies and Children and Young People's Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP IAPT) evidence-based therapies.
Our services include a wide range of workshops and training, therapeutic assessments, one to one interventions including specialist therapies and our services are delivered by a multi-disciplined team. The Link are providers of Children and Young People's Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP IAPT). This allows for our practitioners to be trained in evidence-based professions akin to those within the NHS.
The Link is embedded in the community with much of our work being delivered directly into the community and appointments held in schools and community centres. We work within schools across the region and accept referrals from GPS, schools, NHS CAMHS, social care, parents, carers and other community organisations (funding dependent).
Children and young people are referred to The Link for a multitude of reasons, some children may require additional support in learning how to manage their emotions, others may be suffering from historic trauma due to their life experience, some may even be self-harming or contemplating suicide and some may be struggling with the impacts of COVID-19.
The team at the Link go above and beyond every day making a difference in these children and young people’s lives and, in many cases, achieving long term sustainable positive change for the next generation. This could not be achieved without the dedication and passion of each member of the team.
All the team here at The Link have a shared vision of a brighter future for our children and young people and a belief that mental health is just as important as physical health. This shared vision and joint belief brings us together as a family who are dedicated to making a change for the children, young people and families of the Tees Valley
