Investing in Connection: Introducing the 'Invest in Play' Programme at The Link CIC
At The Link CIC, our mission has always been clear: to ensure that no child, young person, or family has to face emotional distress alone. We are constantly searching for impactful, compassionate, and evidence-based tools to help families build resilience and thrive.
That is why we are incredibly excited to introduce our latest initiative: the Invest in Play (iiP) programme.
If you have been looking for practical ways to understand your child’s behaviour, deepen your bond, and bring a little more calm into your household, this programme was built for you.
What is the 'Invest in Play' Programme?
The Invest in Play programme is a structured, evidence-based course designed for parents and caregivers of children aged 2 to 12. Rather than offering rigid "parenting rules," iiP focuses on practical, compassionate strategies that work in real life.
The core philosophy is simple: Play is a child’s natural language. By investing time in intentional, positive play, we can unlock better communication, emotional regulation, and stronger family relationships.
Why We Love This Programme (And Why You Will Too)
Every family is unique, and parenting doesn't come with a manual. Here is why the Invest in Play framework aligns perfectly with our values at The Link:
Strengthens Attachment: It focuses heavily on building a secure, predictable, and loving bond between you and your child.
Embraces Neurodiversity: The strategies are designed to support all children—whether they are neurotypical, neurodiverse (including Autistic children and those with ADHD), navigating anxiety, or displaying challenging behaviors.
Practical & Bite-Sized: The course breaks down parenting approaches into six foundational steps, offering easy-to-implement tools you can start using at home immediately.
A Judgment-Free Zone: Delivered by our supportive team, the sessions offer a safe space to share experiences with other parents who just get it.
