Youth volunteering Young people are often seen in a negative light, however at The Link we value young people and their enthusiasm and commitment to supporting their peers and members of their community. We run a Youth Volunteering Award which recognises and acknowledges the commitment of time, experience and energy of young people. Any young person age 10 to 18 can apply to volunteer. The Award will enable young people to identify their learning journey and skills development and will then be supported throughout their volunteering by mentors and the volunteer coordinator, Beth. Young people will need to commit to at least 30 hours volunteering but this can be doing a variety of things such as supporting activity groups for children of all ages, fundraising in a variety of ways or writing a blog for our website. To register an interest or for more information contact Beth at [email protected] or phone on 01642 486850.
