I am an independent Clinical Psychologist with Chartered Status with the British Psychological Society (BPS). I am registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC). This means I have doctorate level training in Clinical Psychology and meet the standards set out by the BPS and HCPC. I have extensive experience providing psychological assessment reports and psychological therapy. I can also offer training and supervision upon request.

Nathan Gibson
Trainee Integrative Psychotherapist, LAC/Post Adoption Specialist
Having worked for the LINK since 2013, Nathan has gained a plethora of valuable experience with children, young people and their families who are suffering with social, emotional and behavioral
difficulties, including group work facilitation, 1:1 tailored interventions and outreach support. Although already educated to BA Hons standard, he is continually developing his role and
has successfully completed DDP level 1 and 2 training. He is also currently undergoing his fourth year of TACT training, ultimately enabling him to become a Integrative Psychotherapist trained in
both adults and children and young people. Nathan has also received individual training on attachment and trauma from Stephanie Hunter, Senior Lecturer at Sunderland University. Nathan has also
received excellent feedback from his work in Sunderland supporting families through the ASF which is commented on in our service evaluation. Nathan leads as our student placement
coordinator, supervising Social Work students joining us on placement from Teesside University his role includes their recruitment, training, supervision and case management. Nathan holds his
professional registration with UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy)
Peter Haggerston
Therapeutic Social Worker
Peter has worked at the Link since March 2017. He is an adopter and foster carer for children with complex needs. Peter provides therapeutic interventions using Theraplay techniques for children with disrupted attachments and early life trauma. He works with families to build attachments, and a sense of safety and empathy within the family. Peter supports children to process and integrate early life trauma and dissociation. He is also an EMDR practitioner and is registered with HCPC and a student member of the National Counselling Society. Peter is currently studying to become a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor and is in his third year of study.
