My name is Steph Hunter and am currently a Senior lecturer at Sunderland University. Prior to this employment I was a Manager and Trauma Lead in the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) for thirteen years. I also worked in an inpatient mental health unit for three years. The service I managed won a number of national and regional awards and was recognised as a beacon of good practice. I have previously undertaken similar pieces of work and my research has focused on the views of “looked after” children in relation to mental health services. This work was commended by Northumbria University as part of my Master’s Degree in Child Protection Studies.
