Quarter Stage Performing Arts presents...

'Rise'

Statistically speaking, one in four people will have a mental health condition throughout their life. That’s a quarter of you reading this, and 25% of the people you know - some you may call family, and some you may call friends. But, would you ever think that maybe some of these people, could be, in-fact, children?

Mental health is seen as a taboo topic, with judgement attached to most conditions. It’s a topic that leaves people divided, with people thinking they can comment on disorders they know little about.

So, with this in mind, this October, we’re celebrating World Mental Health Day, showcasing talent from our performing arts group ‘Quarter Stage’ (named in acknowledgement of one in four people with a mental health condition)– a performance with a twist. Exploring the topic “The mental health of young people in a changing world’, we’ve created a bespoke theatre experience that’ll be fun for all the family.

A show including elements of all disciplines, this performance guarantees to have you chuckling in your seat to then moments later holding your breath in anticipation – a true emotional rollercoaster.

So please, join us for a night of entertainment and education on the 10th October 2018, to help us work together to strip away some of the stigma attached to mental health, specifically mental health in young people.

Thank you for your support, we hope to see you there!

Tickets will be available on the door. A small donation will be greatly appreciated!
